Healthy nutrition is one of the principles out forth in developing physical and mental well-being at all walks of life. In medical care provision, nutrition-based services, which are provided with respect to the patients’ conditions do play an important part. The Nutrition Team of the Hospital is proudly involved with nutrition related issues as follows:

  • Applying the latest methods to develop a daily balanced diet for the in-patients who are in need of different foods based on the type of diseases, eating habits, and cultural as well as religious tastes
  • Special foods for vegetarian
  • Supervising the way the dietary foods are distributed in accordance with the medical prescriptions that enhance treatment
  • Training the patients and their companions on how to follow the prescribed diet
  • Cooperating with other therapeutic, executive, and administrative departments of the Hospital to maximize the quality of the services
  • Preparing and compiling booklets on training the in- and out-patients on how to deal with the question of diet
  • Following up the treatment process with the assistance of other teams
  • Participating in seminars and in-house training sessions to update the scientific information
  • Conducting practical research to come up with better quality services
  • Attending the Medicine-Treatment Committee
  • Evaluating the patients’ complaints and referring them to the head of food management
  • Recording the figures of the daily food consumption and reporting them to the Food Management section
  • Formulating the gavage for the patients in need
  • Assessing the nutrition requirements of the patients who are referred (by the physicians) to the Nutrition Consultation office, so that they could receive the well-adjusted daily food program including: taking recalls and frequency, measuring the height, weight, and wrist size, and assessing the biochemical data

The Clinic is also available to contribute the applicants in nutrition and dietary treatment in following areas:

  • Digestive diseases
  • Hepatic diseases
  • Kidney diseases and dialysis

Working Hours of the Clinic

The clinic is available from 7.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. everyday. The nutrition consultation is provided from 2.00 to 5.00 p.m. on even days
